A DEVASTATED celebrity chef has spoken out about a vicious raid at his parents home in Manchester.
Andrew Nutter's mother was dragged around her home and a necklace ripped from her neck during the brutal robbery on Sunday evening.
Three robbers smashed their way into the house on Hilton Lane in Prestwich, by throwing a boulder through a patio window, Manchester Evening News has reported.
They threatened Mr Nutter's parents, who are both in their 70s, and launched an attack on his mother and her necklace was taken from her neck.
Despite being repeatedly told there was no safe or stash of money in the house, the robbers kept demanding cash.
Mr Nutter, who owns two restaurants in Rochdale, said his mother was "left shaken up" but was not seriously injured.
He added: "They took my mum's jewellery and went through every single wardrobe.
"They threw a boulder through the big back door window of the house. It smashed like a bomb exploding in the house."
Police are reviewing CCTV footage but are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Greater Manchester Police said it was called to the property at around 7.30pm and it is believed the offence happened just ten minutes before.
Anyone with information should call 101.
