Ryan Gosling drops Barbie movie song I'm Just Ken with 'holiday twist' - and people have missed two

RYAN Gosling has released a new holiday version of the hit Barbie movie song I'm Just Ken along with two other never-before-heard versions.

The actor won over the hearts of fans once again with his role as Barbie's beau in the blockbuster film this July.

Now Ryan, 43, has released a new Ken EP alongside music producer Mark Ronson.

Out now on Atlantic Records, the compilation's lead track is the movie star's iconic I'm Just Ken - but with a festive holiday twist.

The Canadian actor belted the classic lyrics but with the addition of a jolly jingle bell in the background.

Ryan ends the song with a spoken word, saying: "Merry Christmas Barbie. Wherever you are."

Barbie became the highest-grossing film in Warner Bros. history and the highest-grossing film from an American female filmmaker of all time.

The movie also reigned as the largest worldwide film release of 2023.

Barbie follows the beloved American doll, played by Margot Robbie — as she suffers from a full-blown existential crisis and embarks on a journey of self-discovery.

Gosling plays Ken, who lives in Barbie's shadow until he breaks through and finds his own identity — later becoming the antihero of the film.

The 43-year-old has been nominated for two Academy Awards throughout his career and took home the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Motion Picture for his role in the 2016 musical film La La Land.

LOVE LIFE

The film star is married to actress Eva Mendes and the couple shares two daughters, Amada and Esmeralda.

Mendes and Gosling started dating in 2011 after they co-starred in The Place Beyond The Pines.

Over the years, they have kept details of their relationship out of the spotlight, and it was not until 2022 that Mendes seemingly confirmed they were married.

During an appearance on Channel 9's Today in Australia, she referred to Gosling as her "husband."

“Everyone is so welcoming here, and my husband, Ryan, is here, and we are having the best time,” she told hosts Karl Stefanovic and Allison Langdon, via Harpers Bazaar.

The power couple has made very few public appearances together, but Gosling seemed to honor his bride at the Barbie premiere in July 2023 by wearing an E necklace on the pink carpet.

CAREER SUCCESS

Gosling was born on November 12, 1980, in London, Canada, and got his start in Hollywood when he starred in The Mickey Mouse Club from 1993-1995 alongside Britney SpearsChristina Aguilera, and Justin Timberlake.
